Format

A format is the conventional way in which something is arranged or set out. Formatting results in objects with material limitations of size, weight, durability and especially when it comes to digital media, performance.

The formats used in the PrintRoom Archive are:

• Zine
• Book
• Flipbook
• Broadsheet, Newspaper & Magazine (is Magazine still part of this format)?
• Other printed matter
• Banner
• Clothing and Accessories
• Object
• Digital media, without physical carrier (multimedia?)
• AV Carrier
