Glossary:Dust jacket

A surface that wraps around the front cover, spine, and back cover of a bound item, commonly a book. The dust jacket can be removed and may be made of a slightly more robust material than the item's internal pages – for example, the dust jacket may feature coated paper whereas the item's internal pages may be uncoated.
